Jessie SmithJessie O. Smith of Eugene died Feb. 1 of age-related causes. She was 88. No service is planned.She was born Dec. 28, 1923, in Weed, Calif., to Orville and Jessie Barber Flook. She married Robert Smith on Dec. 13, 1952, in New London, Conn.She attended the School for the Blind in Berkeley, Calif., and attended Weed High School. She worked as a restaurant manager, taught English as a second language and worked with the blind.Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Sherrie Johnson of Plains, Mo.; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildrenArrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
