Obituary of David Adam

After a hard-fought battle with cancer, Dave passed away at his home in Brampton on January 6th, 2020 in his 70th year. Dave was born in Peterborough to Frank and Shirley Adam (Johns). He was a hockey and baseball fan, as well as an avid hunter and fisherman. Dave was in the flooring industry for over 40 years. For the last 27 years, he was employed by Mannington Mills, travelling across Canada and parts of the USA. Dave was a handy man, often helping friends and family with household projects. Always remembered and forever loved by his wife of 26 years, Shari (nee Rusaw). Dave was predeceased by his daughter Marcia Almeida (Tony) and survived by his three sons, Ryan (Melanie), Jon (Brandi), and Josh (Keesha). Dave was the cherished grandpa of Ethan, Sophie, Nico, Ryannah, Hank, and Opie. Brother of Jane Lisson, Susan (John) Cummings, Steven (Susan) Adam, Cathy (Ian) Calderwood, Rosemary (Gary) Assels, Marguerite (Jim) Wright, Wayne (Mona) Adam, and Kimberly (Mike) Byrne. Step son to Jessie Adam-Stewart and son-in-law of Shirley Rusaw. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Visitation will be held at Brampton Funeral Home, 10061 Chinguacousy Road, Brampton on Friday, January 17th from 4pm-8pm and Saturday, January 18th from 11am-12pm followed by a memorial service in the chapel at noon. In memory of Dave, acts of kindness or donations may be made to Sick Kids Foundation.
