Obituary of Joan Smith

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, sister and grandmother, Joan Isabel Smith on Wednesday January 1, 2020 in her 90th years. Joan is now reunited in heaven with her beloved husband Terrence, parents Elizabeth and Karl Scott and siblings George Douglas Scott, her twin sister June and her husband George Hill of Detroit Michigan, and Maureen and her husband John Plantinga. Loving mother to Robert, Carl and William "Bill" . She was the devoted grandmother of Alyssa, Grant, Nicole and Derek. Joan will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all her family and friends in Canada and the United States and all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, Donations in loving memory of Joan to the Brampton and Caledon Community Foundation in care of the Smith Family Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family. The family would like to extend their heart felt thanks and appreciation to all the staff of Tall Pines Long Term Care for the care and compassion shown to Joan and the family.Words of comfort, shared stories, and photos may be left for the family using the links above.
