Obituary of Irene Theodorakopoulos

Irene (Rina) Theodorakopoulos, age 46, passed away unexpectedly on December 30th, 2019 at her home in Toronto.Rina is predeceased by her father, Peter, and is survived by her mother, Barbara; her siblings and their spouses, Menis (Helen), Aphrodite (Chris), and Stavros (Despina); her loving niece and nephews, Sophia, Pano, Jon, Peter, Panagiotis, and Lambros; her grandmother Eugenia Mavrogiannis; and her many aunts, uncles, and cousins.Rina was forever devoted to, and absolutely loved, her niece and nephews, who were such an important part of her life. She was especially proud of her Greek heritage and family and would never hesitate to reminisce about her youth, or to demonstrate the right way to dance to Greek music. Her quiet moments were spent in the pages of a good book or in deep reflection on very long walks through Rouge Valley. Rina had a smile that would light up the room and a vibrance that always made her the life of the party. A very loving and generous person, she was unbegrudging in word and deed.Rina will be deeply and sorely missed by her family and friends, who will always remember the beautiful, unique, and powerful individual that she was.
