Obituary of Oscar Yonzon

Oscar Yonzon passed away peacefully at Credit Valley Hospital on December 12, 2019.He was born on March 17, 1932 to parents Leocadio and Celadonia, and grew up with five siblings: Benjamin, Fred, Josefina, Fong and Boy.Oscar was in IT support at the Government Services Insurance System for most of his working life. He and his family began immigrating to Canada in 1991. They initially lived in Scarborough, then moved to Mississauga in 1995.He enjoyed plenty of traveling with his family over the last few decades. Outside of North America, he had been to Singapore, the UK, France, Italy, Switzerland, Malaysia and Thailand.Oscar was a loving husband to his wife Pacita and devoted father to their seven children: Gene, Rolly, Omer, Cesar, Noemi, Erwin and Rhizza. They also had 15 grandchildren: Mark, Arrianne, Margarette, Christina, Marvin, Nigel, Jeremy, Glen, Kevin, Wina, Kyle, Elisha, Gavin, Gabriel, Zander and 3 great-grandchildren: Aiden, Iris and Isaac.We would like to thank all of the family and friends who have kept Daddy Oscar and our family in their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time and those visiting him to pay their final respects. We will always carry his memory with us and continue his legacy.
