Obituary of Robert Gordon

Robert (“Bobby”) Clyde Gordon, son of Robert Cecil and Olga passed away peacefully with his daughter and son-in-law by his side at Amica Peel Village Retirement home in Brampton.Devoted husband of Marjorie (predeceased), loving father to Maria (Rob “favorite son-in-law”). Proud Papa to Jazmine (“Gibbie”) and Shawn (“Shaughnessy”). Survived by half-sister Clara, predeceased by twin brother Henry (“Billy”) and half-brother Walter.Bobby was born in Port of Spain, Trinidad on August 14, 1933. In October of 1968, Bobby, Marjorie, and Maria migrated to Canada where he began a lucrative career in sales. They were soon joined by brother Billy and his family along with Marjorie’s siblings and their families.A member of Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Mississauga where he was a part of both the Kinghts of Columbus and the choir. Later, after moving to north Mississauga, he joined St. John of the Cross church where he continued with the choir.Whether it was listening to a wide variety at home on his stereo, playing it, or composing it, music was always a big part of Bobby’s life.In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of Peel or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
