Obituary of Joyce May

Joyce MayMONROE — A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 7, at the First Baptist Church in Junction City for Joyce May of Monroe, who died April 2 of cancer. She was 64.She was born July 22, 1947, in Seneca, Kan., to Jay and Marguerite Daise Carpenter. She married Allen May on Jan. 22, 1971, in Springfield.She graduated in 1965 from Springfield High School. She served in the U.S. Air Force. She was a homemaker and Hereford rancher.Survivors include her husband; three sons, Brice of Monroe and Shane and Chad, both of Rozet, Wyo.; two sisters, Shirley Larson of Madras and Shera Nuttall of Norwood, Colo.; and six grandchildren. A granddaughter, Kody May, died previously.Arrangements by England’s Creswell Memorial Chapel in Creswell.
