Obituary of Chester Crowson
MONROE — A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. today, April 20, at Alford Cemetery in Harrisburg for Chester Crowson of Monroe, who died April 17 of age-related causes. He was 88.He was born July 16, 1923, in Stidham, Okla., to John and Francis Crowson. He married Violet Williams on March 12, 1942, in Eugene. She died June 21, 2011.He was a co-owner of the family farm and Crowson Bus Company.Survivors include two sons, Gerald and Randall, both of Monroe; three daughters, Sandra Couch of Boise, Pamela Dickson of Redmond and Lisa Rictor of Monroe; a brother, Utah of Keizer; a sister, Faye Overton of Florence; 12 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.Arrangements by Murphy-Musgrove Funeral Home in Junction City.
