Ada BardossiA memorial service will be at 1 p.m. April 21 at Cascade Manor in Eugene for Ada E. Bardossi of Eugene, who died Feb. 10 of age-related causes. She was 93.She was born May 21, 1918, in Reading, Pa., to Joseph and Jennie Lou Gossler. She married Fulvio “Bart” Bardossi in 1947 in Reading. He died in April 2001.She graduated from Reading High School in 1936 and from Albright College in Reading in 1940. She received a master’s degree from Columbus University’s School of Journalism in 1947.She enlisted in the Navy during World War II and served in communications intelligence in Washington, D.C., from 1943 to 1946. She taught history for three years at Mount Penn High School.She wrote for the Army Times after World War II, for the Ogdensburg New York Journal from 1947 to 1949 and was a freelance writer and copy editor for several New York publishers until 2006.Survivors include a son, Michael of Eugene; two daughters, Karen Bardossi of Monroe, N.Y., and Elizabeth Bardossi of Ashland; and one grandchild.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
