Obituary of Ellis Bowers

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday, April 20, at West Lawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Eugene for Ellis C. Bowers of Eugene, who died April 17 of age-related causes. He was 82. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, April 19, at the funeral home.He was born Oct. 24, 1929, in Brownsville to George and Wanda Leach Bowers. He married Betty Hinton on Dec. 27, 1955, in Eugene.He graduated from Creswell High School. He worked in outside sales and parts for the trucking industry.Survivors include his wife; a son, Bill of Eugene; a daughter, Debra Ono of Federal Way, Wash.; a brother, Stanley of Oakland; and four grandchildren.Burial will be at 3 p.m. Friday at West Lawn Memorial Park in Eugene.
