C. Alton BrostromA celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 30, at Allison Park Christian Church in Eugene for C. Alton Brostrom of Eugene, who died April 26 of age-related causes. He was 97.He was born Aug. 12, 1914, in Cherry Grove to Carl and Edith Fried Brostrom.He married Winona Nickerson on Sept. 16, 1936, in Dayton. She died June 26, 2009.He held a bachelor of arts degree from Linfield College and a bachelor’s degree in theology from Northwest Christian College. He served as a longtime minister for the Christian Church-Disciples of Christ, serving churches in the Northwest from Ashland to Seattle. He was the founding pastor of Lake City Christian Church in Seattle.Survivors include a son, Forrest of El Paso, Texas; a brother, Norman of Portland; a sister, Eleanor Westlake of Vancouver, Wash.
