Laura SavageLaura M. “Rustie” Savage of Eugene died April 29 of age-related causes. She was 86. A memorial service is planned for a later date.She was born May 15, 1925, in Yelm, Wash., to Albert and Laura Swalley Lluellyn. She married William Savage in July 1968 in Longview, Wash. He died Feb. 14, 2000. She married Franklin Steen in May 1944 in Hollywood, Calif. She married Lewis Donaldson in November 1951 in Seattle.At the age of 50, she went back to school and received her associate degree in real estate. She worked as a real estate broker for Nelscot Realty, operated her own office and, later, worked for Better Homes & Gardens (formerly Pete Anderson Realty) for about 20 years in Lincoln City.Survivors include a son, David Savage of Carson City, Nev.; a daughter, Viki West of Eugene; four stepdaughters, Rosemary Hughlett of Coquille, Cindy Liane of Pine, Wis., Janie Gurley of Montpelier, Vt., and Jonnie Savage of The Dalles; three brothers, Albert “Lee” Lluellyn of Goshen, Lloyd Lluellyn of Post Falls, Idaho, and Gordon Allen of Coquille; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A stepson, William Savage, died previously.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.Remembrances may be sent to the American Cancer Society.
