Obituary of Patty Nypen

Patty NypenA graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 4, at Lane Memorial Gardens in Eugene for Patty Lou Nypen of Springfield, who died April 24 of complications of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. She was 73.She was born April 9, 1939, in Canton, Okla., to Chester and Ettie Clevenger Madison. She married Allen Nypen on Sept. 9, 1966, in Reno, Nev.She graduated from Springfield High School. She was a homemaker.Survivors include her husband; her mother, Ettie Mae Staniford, of Springfield; a son, Patrick of Springfield; two brothers, Ron Madison of Eugene and Elbert Madison of Springfield; and a sister, Christina Halstead of Aurora.Arrangements by England’s Eugene Memorial Chapel in Eugene.Remembrances may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or American Lung Association.
