Obituary of Frances Bell

Frances BellFrances Maxine Bell of Eugene died April 22 of age-related causes. She was 88. No service is planned.She was born Feb. 25, 1924, in Corvallis to Cyrus and Frances Pugh Simmons. She married Jesse Bell on April 9, 1949, in Beltsville, Md. He died Sept. 7, 1995.She graduated from Corvallis High School in 1942 and from Oregon State University in 1947 with a bachelor’s degree. She worked as a substitute teacher in area schools before teaching genealogy at Lane Community College for several decades.Survivors include a daughter, Cynthia Bell of Eugene. A son, Wayne Stanley Bell, died in 2010.Inurnment will be held at Shedd Cemetery. Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene. Remembrances to Oregon Genealogical Society.
