Obituary of Arnold Peters

Arnold PetersArnold “Pete” Peters of Eugene died May 3 of cancer. He was 91. A private family gathering will be held later.He was born Aug. 9, 1920, in Korn, Okla., to Abraham and Anna Balzer Peters. He married Mayme Barnes on Sept. 21, 1941, in Vancouver, Wash. She died Sept. 12, 2002.He graduated from Dallas High School in 1939. He served in the U.S. Army in the European Theater in World War II.He worked as a conductor for Southern Pacific Railroad for 40 years and retired in 1981.Survivors include a son, Donald of Everett, Wash.; two brothers, Erwin of Medford and Herb Peters of Springfield; and two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.Private burial will be at Lane Memorial Gardens in Eugene. Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene. Remembrances to American Cancer Society or USO.
