Harold SonduckA graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. today, May 23, at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland for Harold R. Sonduck of Eugene, who died May 21 of age-related causes. He was 95.He was born Aug. 16, 1916, in Santa Ana, Calif., to Max and Sonia Erlien Sonduck. He married Lucille “Sue” Mayer on Jan. 30, 1944, in Chicago.He graduated from Wausau High School in 1932. He attended the University of Wisconsin in Madison and Carnegie Tech in Pittsburgh, Penn., where he studied engineering after enlisting in the Army Air Corps. He was a technical sergeant, in the combat engineers, assigned to the 7th Army in Europe during World War II. He served in the Battle of the Bulge. He owned Century Tool & Metal Company in Chicago.Survivors include his wife; two sons, Michael of San Diego and Allan of Eugene; a daughter, Janet Sonduck of Eugene; a sister, Ryle Sonduck of Poway, Calif.; and four grandchildren.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.Remembrances to Temple B’nai Yehuda Beth Sholom in Homewood, Ill.
