MONROE — Charles Pless of Monroe died May 28 of complications from lung disease. He was 75.He was born April 30, 1937, in Beggs, Okla., to Joseph Pless.He graduated from Lebanon High School and served in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1958. He owned the Char-Lee Furniture Store in Junction City for six years, worked construction support for Jeff Wall and then logged with Jim Nixon until his retirement.Survivors include his domestic partner of five years, Shannon Hermann; a son, Steven of Bend; two daughters, Joey Pless of Beaverton and Jill Pless of Vancouver, Wash.; a sister, Irene Daniel of Lebanon; and many grandchildren.Burial will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 6, in Bellfountain Cemetery near Monroe.Arrangements by Murphy-Musgrove Funeral Home in Junction City. Remembrances to the Vina Moses Center in Corvallis.
