Obituary of Juanita Deffenbacher

Juanita DeffenbacherA celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, at Friendly Street Church of God, 2290 Friendly St. in Eugene, for Juanita Deffenbacher of Eugene, who died June 6 of age related causes. She was 93.She was born July 30, 1918, in Marietta, Okla., to Henry and Bessie Potter.She married Frank Deffenbacher on Aug. 31, 1941, in Eugene. He died Feb. 14, 2004.She graduated from Coburg High School.She was a homemaker and also a school cook.Survivors include two daughters, Rae “Cookie” Scott of Black Butte and Gloria “Molly” Downey of Eugene; a sister, Ethel Merecki of Portland; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.Burial will be at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
