Gerald OlsonA celebration of life will be held at 11:30 a.m. June 30 at Eugene Country Club for Gerald Clark Olson of Eugene, who died June 3 of lymphoma. He was 76.He was born May 3, 1936, in Decorah, Iowa, to James and Mabel Barth Olson.He graduated from Springfield High School in 1954 and from the University of Oregon with a bachelor of science degree in 1958. He graduated from the University of Oregon Dental School in 1962.He served in the Army as a dentist.He worked at the Eugene Cannery for seven years and as dentist with Oakway Dental Group, retiring in 1998.Survivors include a son, Mitch of Portland; a daughter, Kirstin Kerber of Seattle; a stepson, Steve Smith of Eugene; a stepdaughter, Julie Chown of Eugene; a sister, Shirley Silke of Mercer Island, Wash.; and seven grandchildren. His wife, Betty Olson, died previously.Private inurnment will be at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland. Arrangements by Musgrove
