Obituary of Harold Hutton
Harold HuttonCRESWELL — The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 2, at Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene for Harold A. Hutton of Creswell, who died June 26 of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus. He was 72. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.He was born Feb. 8, 1940, in Lane County to Frank and Fern Near Hutton. He married Dolores LaRocque on Dec. 20, 1974, in Eugene. She died Jan. 24, 1994. After being together since 1995, he married Betty Conlin on Nov. 20, 2003, in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho. She died in 2006.He graduated from South Eugene High School in 1958. He served in the U.S. Navy as a diesel mechanic and was stationed in Pearl Harbor on the USS Wilhoyt and the USS John S. McCain. He worked in the cement industry, was a carpenter, rancher and farmer, and he dug graves with his five brothers. He retired from Ecland Industries where he worked for 35 years as a press brake operator.Survivors include a son, Dana Killmaster of Junction City; two daughters, Shawnita Zimmer of Creswell and Karen Toon of Nampa, Idaho; two brothers, Melvin of Springfield and Raymond of Bremerton, Wash.; a sister, Hattie Rouse of Port Orchard, Wash.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Burial will be at 2 p.m., Monday in Greenwood Cemetery in Leaburg. Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
