Obituary of Leon Gaboriault

Leon GaboriaultA celebration of life was held July 3 at the family home in Springfield for Leon G. Gaboriault of Eugene, who died June 29 of age-related causes. He was 81.He was born Feb. 16, 1931, in Fort Lewis, Wash., to Leon and Opal Gaboriault. He married Myrtle Marcus on Nov. 29, 1949, in Reno, Nev. She died Aug. 5, 2007.He attended school at Laurelwood Academy in Gaston. He worked as a logger and mill foreman in the timber industry. He also worked for Albertsons for 10 years.Survivors include two sons, Terry and Lenard, both of Springfield; a daughter, Candy Gaboriault of Springfield; a brother, Richard of Anchor Point, Alaska; a sister, Evonne “Vonnie” of Antioch, Calif.; and five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
