Obituary of Lois Rackleff

Lois RackleffA memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 21, at Grace Lutheran Church in Eugene for Lois Ruth Rackleff of Eugene, who died July 18 of age-related causes. She was 86.She was born April 21, 1926, in Sykeston, N.D., to Rudolf and Elsa Holthusen Wahl. She married Richard Meinke in Elyria, Ohio. He died in 1989. She married Ellis Rackleff in Eugene. He died in 2000.She graduated in 1959 from Fairview Nursing School in Cleveland, Ohio, and graduated from the University of Oregon in 1979 with a bachelor’s degree in public health. She was a registered nurse and worked at Eugene Hospital & Clinic and at Valley West Health Care. She also worked at a Halsey paper mill as an industrial nurse.Survivors include six daughters, Lynne Watkins of Willamsburg, Va., Jeanne Hayden of Westminster, Colo., Pam Parham of Eugene, Kathleen Rackleff of Cottage Grove, Glenda Rackleff of Ashland and Jane Rackleff of Talent; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to Lucy’s Rainbow, in care of King of Glory Lutheran Church in Williamsburg, Va.
