Obituary of Nina Davis

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, at Springfield Memorial Funeral Home in Springfield for Nina M. Davis of Springfield, who died July 28 of age-related natural causes. She was 93. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, July 31, at the funeral home.She was born April 26, 1919, in Stonewall, Okla., to Andrew and Mary Whitley Hill. She married John Davis on Aug. 17, 1940, in Centralia, Wash. He died April 27, 1990.She graduated from Silverton High School in Silverton, Texas. She worked as a florist for more than 15 years and was a homemaker.Survivors include a daughter, Ruth Rigel of Springfield; three grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. A daughter, Shirley Joan Davy, died July 3, 2008.Entombment will be at Springfield Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Musgrove’s at Springfield Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Springfield.
