Obituary of Marvin Steadman

Marvin E. Steadman of Eugene died July 25 of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. He was 69. A private family celebration of life is planned for later.He was born Aug. 9, 1942, in Pocatello, Idaho, to Dorothy Alice Ogle. He married Cheryl Rae Taylor in May 1965 in Eugene.He graduated from South Eugene High School in 1960.He worked as a welder and cutting torch fabricator for Gheen Irrigation for more than 25 years until his retirement.Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Kim Larson of Junction City and Melinda Fox of Nampa, Idaho; a brother, Neil of Springfield; a sister, Joann Frese of Eugene; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A grandson, Shaymon Harter, died Sept. 7, 1991.Private inurnment will be held. Arrangements by Musgrove’s at West Lawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Eugene.
