Obituary of Peggy Smith

BLACHLY — A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 3, at Memorial Community Church in Blachly for Peggy Louise Smith of Blachly, who died July 29 of cancer. She was 81.Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Aug. 2, at Murphy-Musgrove Funeral Home in Junction City.She was born July 23, 1931, in Lexington, Neb., to Harold and Hazel Dunlap White. She married Gordon Smith on Dec. 24, 1950.She graduated from Triangle Lake High School in 1949. She was a mother and homemaker.Survivors include her husband; a son, Terry of Blachly; two daughters, Kathy (Jack) VanCleave of Arlington, Texas, and Sharon (Roger) Kullberg of Auburn, Wash.; a sister, Virginia Keeney of Blachly; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.Burial will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 2, in Blachly Cemetery.Arrangements by Murphy-Musgrove Funeral Home in Junction City.
