Obituary of Neil Christofferson

Neil ChristoffersonThe funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:15 p.m. Aug. 3 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Eugene for Neil Christofferson of Eugene, who died July 23 of prostate cancer. He was 81.He was born March 9, 1931, in Neenah, Wis., to William and Mabel Mader Christofferson. He married Sandra Berro on June 6, 1959, in Menasha, Wis.He graduated from Neenah High School in 1949. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin in Madison, in 1953. He served in the Army from 1953 to 1955. He worked as an industrial engineer, retiring in 1996 after 40 years with American Can Co. and James River Corp.Survivors include his wife; a son, Robert of Rohnert Park, Calif.; a daughter, Cari Lynn Orr of Eugene; a sister, Betty Witt of Albany, N.Y.; and one grandchild.Private inurnment will be at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland. Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene. Remembrances to American Cancer Society for prostate cancer research or to Special Olympics.
