Obituary of Eleanor Dewey

WALTERVILLE — The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, at Berean Assembly of God Church for Eleanor P. Dewey of Walterville, who died July 30 of dementia. She was 96.Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 6, at Springfield Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, at Springfield Memorial Gardens.She was born July 6, 1916, in Carrington, N.D., to Fred and Elizabeth Edinger Graser. She married Everett Clinton in 1936 in Minneapolis. He died April 1, 1971. She married Joy Dewey in June 1978 in Leaburg. He died May 1, 1991.She graduated from high school in Harvey, N.D. She was a homemaker.Survivors include two sons, Dennis Clinton of McGregor, Minn., and Stephen Clinton of Brooklyn Park, Minn.; two daughters, Janice Hackert of Walterville and Sandra Clinton of Minneapolis; and 14 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and 33 great-great-grandchildren. Three grandsons died previously, Kevin Malenke in 1993, Michael Hackert in 2004 and Patrick Clinton in 1964; a great-granddaughter, Ashley Braden, and two great-great-granddaughters, Laura Hermisillio and Jessica Barry, also died previously.
