William PotterSPRINGFIELD — William D. Potter of Springfield died Aug. 7 of esophageal cancer. He was 68. No service is planned.He was born Sept. 14, 1943, in Eugene to E.V. and Coral Barber Potter. He married Harriet Sever on May 15, 1965 and later married Karol Potter.He served as a U.S. Navy Seabee and worked as a Yale forklift mechanic.Survivors include his wife, Karol; three sons, Tim of Veneta, John of Springfield and Steven of Eugene; two sisters, Mae Staples of Springfield and Marjorie Jones of Clatskanie; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
