Obituary of James Tigue

SPRINGFIELD — A funeral will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 17, at Springfield Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home for James Douglas Tigue of Springfield, who died Aug. 11 of age-related causes. He was 86. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, at the funeral home.He was born March 11, 1926, in Tracy City, Tenn., to Leonard and Daisy Worley Tigue. He married Christine Davis on Oct. 12, 1946, in Tracy City, Tenn. She died Jan. 15, 2010.He served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific during World War II. He was a mill worker and drove a forklift for Cone Lumber in Goshen for 20 years.Survivors include four sons, Steven of Tacoma, Johnny of Creswell, James of Land O’ Lakes, Fla., and Jerry of Redmond; a daughter, Linda Rodriguez of Springfield; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.Arrangements by Musgrove’s at Springfield Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Springfield.
