Raymond GillespieA graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22, at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland for Raymond James Gillespie of Eugene, who died Aug. 16 of age-related causes. He was 95.He was born Sept. 21, 1916, in Roan Oaks, W. Va., to Andrew and Jenny Gillespie.He was retired from service in the U.S. Army.Survivors include a son, Jimmy of Salem; two daughters, Janice Brown of Eugene and Cathy Cook of Lyons; a brother, Clifford of Washington; a sister, Molly Haines of Vancouver, Wash.; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. His wife of 50 years, Iris Gillespie, died previously.Arrangements by Musgrove’s at Lane Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Eugene.
