Ray WoolleyVENETA — A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, at Musgrove Family Center in Eugene, for Ray W. Woolley of Veneta, who died Aug. 15 of age-related causes. He was 89.He was born June 22, 1923, in Waynoka, Okla., to August and Eunice French Woolley. He married Margaret Ashbaugh on 1942 in Oregon. They later divorced. He married Vera St. John on 1947 in Eugene. They later divorced. He married Jane Gould on 1979 in Nevada.He was a medic and military policeman for the Army during World War II in the Philippines. He worked as a builder, and he also worked for Sears in retail sales and delivery truck driving. He also worked as a trapper and rock hunting guide and owned a gemstone cutting business.Survivors include his wife; a son, Tom Woolley of Eugene; four daughters, Linda Woolley of Salem, Kathlyn Woolley of Eugene, Jan Woolley of Walton, and Judy Siffert of Eugene; two sisters, Lola Swanson of Eugene and Zella Kjossness of Vancouver, Wash.; and nine grandchildren.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
