Obituary of Loyd Baker
SPRINGFIELD — A memorial service will be held at noon Thursday, Aug. 23, at Springfield Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home for Loyd Earl “Lee” Baker Sr. of Springfield, who died Aug. 4 of age-related causes. He was 80.He was born Oct. 5, 1931, to George and Freda Mae Warren Baker. He and his wife, Glenna Lou, were married July 8, 1951, in Springfield. She died May 24, 1999. He and his second wife, Helen, were married Feb. 8, 2003, in Springfield. She died March 28, 2012.He owned and operated Baker Trailers from 1984 to 2009.Survivors include three sons, Ed and Gale, both of Springfield, and Rod of Veneta; a brother, Fred of Springfield; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. A son, Loyd Earl Baker Jr., and a daughter, Debbie Smoot, died previously.Arrangements by Musgrove’s at Springfield Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Springfield. Remembrances to Cascade Hospice.
