Obituary of Orrin Johnson

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 24, at Willamette Christian Center in Eugene for Orrin K. Johnson of Eugene, who died Aug. 17 of leukemia. He was 87. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Friday at Lane Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Eugene.He was born Oct. 7, 1924, in Redding, Calif., to Walter and Hattie Kinsey Johnson. He married Vera Termine on May 28, 1961, in Eugene. She died April 2, 2010.He graduated from high school in Salem. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He worked for Southern Pacific Railroad for 34 years as an outbound train clerk. He retired in 1986.Survivors include two sons, Shawn of Singapore and Dale of Eugene; a daughter, Cynthia Stoltey of Reedsport; two sisters, Zona Williams of Tacoma and Fern Glenn of Aurora, Colo.; and two grandchildren.Burial will be at Lane Memorial Gardens.Remembrances to Willamette Valley Cancer Institute or Reedsport Assembly of God Church.
