Obituary of Jim Orr

Jim Orr of Gladstone, formerly of Springfield, died Aug. 25 of age-related causes. He was 93. No service is planned.He was born July 10, 1919, in Springfield to Raleigh and Grace Byers Orr. He married Ethel Gott on July 19, 1940, in Eugene.He was a high school graduate. He served in the National Guard and the Navy during World War II.He was a log truck driver, welder, mechanic and carpenter.Survivors include two sons, Danny of Ontario and Andy of Canby; and six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. His wife died previously.Arrangements by Musgrove’s at Lane Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Eugene.
