Obituary of Thomas Wong

Thomas WongA celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, at the National Guard Armory in Springfield for Thomas D. Wong of Eugene, who died Aug. 13 of heart failure. He was 50.He was born March 12, 1962, in Fresno, Calif., to Gilbert and Joyce Staats Wong.He graduated from Kerman Union High School in California in 1980. He served in the Navy and was a Navy Seal. He was a security contractor for Osen Hunter Group and a security consultant for Blackwater. He also worked for Sacred Heart Medical Center as an engineer.Survivors include his domestic partner, Carrie Anderson; his parents, of Kerman; a daughter, McKenzie Bloesinger-Wong of Eugene; and two brothers, Donnie Wong of Creswell and Michael Bledsoe of Bakersfield, Calif.Inurnment will be at 3 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 5, at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene. Remembrances to a scholarship fund for his daughter at Northwest Community Credit Union.
