John MusumeciA memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Eugene for John Joseph Musumeci of Eugene, who died Aug. 24 of cancer. He was 66. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, at Musgrove Funeral Home. A private burial is planned.He was born June 18, 1946, in Lawrence, Mass., to Santo and Loretta Croteau Musumeci. He married Suzanne Kathryn Arlie on April 28, 1990, in Lake Tahoe, Calif.He graduated from Lawrence High School. He was a lifelong entrepreneur who co-founded Computerland, the first national retailer of personal computers, in the 1980s.He and his wife founded Arlie & Company, a development company, in 1990.Survivors include his wife; his mother; a son, John Jr of Rainer, Wash.; two daughters, Lisa Drakes of Bethlehem, Pa., and Nicole Musumeci of Rainer; a brother, Robert of Londonberry, Mass.; and three grandchildren.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
