Obituary of Leona Jones

Leona M. Jones of Eugene died Sept. 3 of age-related causes. She was 90.She was born June 8, 1922, in Galena, Kan., to Robert and Nina Culver Toler. She married Willard Riggs in 1940 in Las Vegas. He died previously.She worked as a seamstress, embroidering and beading specialty items, working out of her own home.Survivors include a son, Robert Deschaine of Eugene; two daughters, Diana Riggs and Milly Deschaine, both of Eugene; a brother, Virgil Toler of Springfield; one grandchild; and four great-grandchildren.A private family inurnment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Eugene. Arrangements by Musgrove’s at West Lawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Eugene.
