Obituary of Mark Perdue
Mark Charles Perdue passed away on August 26, 2012 in Albany, Oregon at the age of 62. He was born in Lebanon, Oregon on November 7, 1949. He grew up in the Lebanon, Coburg and Harrisburg areas, settling in Harrisburg. In 1984, he married Sharon Reagh, blending their families for a total of 7 children. When Mark and Sharon welcomed a son, "Eight is Enough" became the consensus. Mark and Sharon were married for 28 years, their family growing to include 5 daughters-in-law and 12 grandchildren; their full home now overflowing with plenty of noise and lots of love. Mark's family was a source of pride and at least a couple of kids and grandkids could always be found wandering through their home. Mark also prided himself on spoiling Sharon, which he did at every opportunity, and she in turn spoiled him. Mark held a lifelong passion for music, touching many with a beautiful voice and self-taught talent for guitar. He had a love of old cars. A 1968 Ford Galaxy convertible and 1956 Ford Victoria were prized possessions. He was happiest in his convertible on a back road, just "taking a drive". Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Robert J. Perdue and Naomi M. Duren; brothers Robert Perdue and Bruce Perdue; and sister Nancy Perdue. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Perdue; his children: Jason & Leslie Perdue, Jodi Perdue, Jarod & Lois Perdue, Juli Perdue, Jacob & Amber Perdue, Luke Perdue, Jared & Dawnelta Stewart and Gabe & Connie Stewart; his grandchildren: James, Carson, Dakota, Journey, Cody, Lyssa, Colby, Austin, Micah, Hayden, Joe and Samantha; his brothers: Gene Perdue, John Perdue, Dick Perdue and Jerry Perdue; and his sisters: Sharon Frederick, Maryanne Longworth, Pat Cogburn and Jackie Slocum. A Memorial Service for Mark will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 8th at Family Christian Fellowship, 942 28th St., Springfield. Arrangements by Murphy-Musgrove Funeral Home, Junction City.
