Obituary of Margaret Junkins

Margaret JunkinsA memorial Mass will be held at 1 p.m. Sept. 8 at St. Jude Catholic Church in Eugene for Margaret Mary “Marge” Junkins of Eugene, who died Aug. 12 of age-related causes. She was 96.She was born Oct. 4, 1915, in Seattle to Rupert and Mary Connelley Coston. She married John “Jake” Junkins on Oct. 19, 1946, in Vancouver, Wash. He died July 4, 1998.She graduated in 1933 from Cleveland High School in Seattle. She worked as a secretary at Sears in Seattle, at Sonoma Heights Elementary School in Winnemucca, Nev., and the College of Education at the University of Oregon.Survivors include a daughter, Margaret Anne Junkins of Canyonville; one grandchild; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. A son, John Richard Junkins, died previously.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene. Remembrances to St. Jude Catholic Church or St. Vincent de Paul.
