Jack CombsThe funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. today, Sept. 11, at the St. Thomas More Newman Center in Eugene for Jack Edward Combs of Eugene, who died Sept. 6 of an infection of the heart. He was 68. Visitation was held Sept. 10, at Musgrove Family Mortuary.He was born May 5, 1944, in Muskogee, Okla., to Gerald and Katie Hampton Combs. He married Jeanie Scheibmeir on Sept. 1, 1967, in Salina, Kan.He graduated from Salina High School in 1962. He held a bachelor of science degree in business from Fort Hays State College in Hays, Kan. He worked for Serenity Lane as a client transporter and also in protective services.Survivors include his wife.Burial will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 12, at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Medford.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
