Raymond CookThe funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, at Musgrove Family Mortuary for Raymond Leon Cook of Eugene, who died Sept. 14 of age-related causes. He was 90.Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.Burial will be at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 19, at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland with military honors.He was born Oct. 20, 1921, in Los Angeles to Ramon and Jessie Teter Carrillo.Cook graduated from Corvallis High School in 1940.He was a private in the Army during World War II.He worked for Southern Pacific Railroad in the firehouse as a fireman.He later worked for Tagfelt Lumber Co. for 25 years, retiring in 1983.Survivors include two sons, Buddy Cook of Richland Hills, Texas, and Thomas Carrillo of Orlando, Fla.; three daughters, Diana Soleim of Pleasant Hill, Joyce Weichel of Lake City, Minn., and Tina Carrillo-Fox of Marcola; and many grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.A son, John Putnins, died in 1996.
