Obituary of Rudolf Coester

Rudolf CoesterRudolf Coester of Eugene died Sept. 15 of age-related causes. He was 87. A celebration of life is planned for a future date.He was born March 10, 1925, in Semarang, Dutch East Indies, to Ferdinand and Anna Huffenreuter Coester. He married Clara de la Rambelje in 1957 in the Netherlands.He held a bachelor’s degree in electronics. While living in the Netherlands, he joined the Dutch Military Service. Upon finishing his military service he worked for the Dutch Army Signal Corps as a technical writer. After emigrated to the United States in 1962, he worked as an electronics technician until his retirement in 1987.Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Charlotte Conlin of Eugene and Marjan Jeffries of Winston; a sister, Jeanne Coester of The Netherlands; and three step-grandchildren. A son, Walter, died previously.Private inurnment will be held.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
