Obituary of Lee Philpott
Lee PhilpottA memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24, at Central Lutheran Church in Eugene for Lee Forrest Philpott of Eugene, who died Sept. 15 of age-related causes. He was 87.He was born April 23, 1925, in Harrisburg to Landis and Edna Tandy Philpott. He married Rosemary McNutt on Sept. 18, 1949.He was raised in Star Camp in Noti and graduated from Elmira High School. He graduated from the University of Oregon in 1951. He served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater during World War II. He worked most of his career as a certified public accountant in Salem, Eugene and Junction City. He and his wife lived for 38 years in Coburg and he was, at various times in his career, a farmer and owner of portable aggregate businesses.Survivors include his wife; two sons, Steven of Eugene and Jeffrey of Springfield; two daughters, Kay of Eugene and Jean Miller of St. Helens; a brother, Louis of Springfield; a sister, Lois Allison of Noti; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
