Milo LemertJUNCTION CITY — A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Sept. 29 at Willamalane Adult Senior Center in Springfield for James Milo Lemert of Junction City, who died Sept. 12 of congestive heart failure. He was 85.He was born June 6, 1927, in Long Beach, Calif., to Nathan and Eleanor Miller Lemert. He married Victoria Wickizer on Nov. 17, 1951, in Phoenix, Ariz.He graduated from Junction City High School in 1944. He graduated from Oregon State University with a bachelor’s degree in agriculture in 1949. He served as a yeoman first class in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was stationed in Guam for a short time. He joined his father on the family farm in Junction City. During the winter months he worked for Rubenstein Furniture in their warehouse for 15 years.Survivors include his wife; two sons, Richard of Raleigh, N.C., and Edward of Forest Grove; a daughter, Kerry Lemert of Beaverton; a sister, Barbara Short of Corvallis; and three grandchildren.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
