Obituary of Florence Reinertson

Florence ReinertsonA memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sept. 29 at Central Lutheran Church in Eugene for Florence V. Reinertson of Eugene, who died Aug. 24 of age-related causes. She was 98.She was born Jan. 2, 1914, in Bristol, S.D., to Carl and Selma Nelson Carlson. She married Ludvik Reinertson on Feb. 19, 1938, in Spokane. He died Oct. 17, 1999.She received a teaching certificate from Normal School Teachers College in Aberdeen, S.D. She taught in one-room schools for several years, then became a homemaker and area landlord.Survivors include a son, Gordon of Eugene; two daughters, Clarice Bates of Eugene and Gloria Koll of Whidbey Island, Wash.; a brother, LeRoy Carlson of Junction City; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.Private burial will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park in Eugene. Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene. Remembrances may be sent to Sacred Heart Hospice or Central Lutheran Church Music Program.
