Obituary of Laura Cook

Laura CookA memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, at Wesley United Methodist Church in Eugene for Laura Follmer Cook of Eugene, who died Sept. 23 of cancer. She was 59.She was born March 22, 1953, in Grand Rapids, Mich., to Mack and Vera Williams Follmer. She married Thomas Cook in August 1975 in Eugene. They later divorced.She graduated from the University of Oregon with a bachelor of arts degree in linguistics.Survivors include her parents, now of Eugene.; a brother, Mark Follmer of Kent, Wash.; and a sister, Julie Holmes of Eugene.Inurnment will be at West Lawn Mausoleum.
