Obituary of Geraldine Adank

VENETA — The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, at Lane Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Eugene for Geraldine Grace “Jerry” Adank of Veneta, who died Sept. 24 of age-related causes. She was 84.She was born Nov. 23, 1927, in Springbrook, Wis., to Charles and Vera Chalmers Allar. She married Hilbert Adank on Jan. 17, 1946, in Spooner, Wis. He died Sept. 7, 1986.She graduated from high school. She was a homemaker.Survivors include four sons, Daniel of Phoenix, Ariz., Donald of Veneta, Darrell of Eugene and David of Elmira; two daughters, Joy Cohrs of Portland and Donna Purcell of Springfield; three brothers, Corwin Allar, Vernon Allar and Robert Allar, all of Wisconsin; two sisters, Alys Wendlandt and Margaret Johnson, both of Wisconsin; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. A daughter, Janice K. Adank, died previously.Burial will be at Lane Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Musgrove’s at Lane Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Eugene. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to Veneta Senior Center.
