Obituary of Glenn LiaBraaten

SPRINGFIELD — The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at West Lawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Eugene for Glenn Joel LiaBraaten of Springfield, who died Oct. 7 of complications from diabetes. He was 87. Visitation will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.He was born Dec. 25, 1924, in Springfield to Albin and Clara Swenson LiaBraaten. He married Phyllis Christopherson on Dec. 11, 1948, in Trail, Minn.He graduated in 1942 from Gonvick High School in Minnesota. He served in the Navy during World War II. He worked for 42 years in the propane business.Survivors include his wife; four sons, Larry and Scott, both of Springfield, Dale of Soldotna, Alaska, and Richard of Auburn, Wash.; three daughters, Linda Barrett of LaConner, Wash., Sandra Ramey of Albany and June LaTondre of Vancouver, Wash.; three brothers, Milo of Saginaw, Dennis of Mount Vernon, Ill., and Gerald of Redmond; 27 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. A son, Steven LiaBraaten, and a granddaughter, Michelle Barrett, died previously.Arrangements by Musgrove’s at Chapel of Memories Funeral Home in Eugene.
