Obituary of Scott Gray

Scott GrayScott Gray of Eugene died Oct. 22 of Alzheimer’s disease. He was 79. No service is planned.He was born Dec. 19, 1932, in Denison, Texas, to Walter and Ruby Harshaw Gray. He married Bonnie Wick in 1956. She died in 1961. He married Clarice Eden in 1962.He held a bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma State University and a master’s degree from University of the Pacific.He also held a Ph.D. from George Washington University.He taught high school biology for 20 years in Napa, Calif., and worked for Bechtel Corp. for 25 years, retiring in 1997.Survivors include his wife; two sons, Neal of Marietta, Ga., and Eric of Salem; a daughter, Denice Gray of Eugene; and one grandchild.Private inurnment will be held at the Masonic Cemetery. Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
