JUNCTION CITY — A celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at the First Baptist Church in Junction City for Lyle Andersen of Junction City, who died Oct. 15 of age-related causes. He was 89.He was born May 7, 1923, in Whitetail, Mont., to Otto and Ragna Paulsen Andersen. He married Violet Larson on Oct. 25, 1942, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.He graduated from high school in Coeur d’Alene and held an associate degree from North Idaho Junior College. He served in the Navy from 1942 to 1944. He worked as a chemical engineer for Weyerhauser Paper Products for 23 years. After retiring from Weyerhauser, he owned and operated an antique furniture refinishing business.Survivors include his wife; a son, Larry of Tualatin; two daughters, Julanne Myers of Blachly and Doreen Johnson of Junction City; nine grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.Private burial will be at Blachly Cemetery. Arrangements by Murphy-Musgrove Funeral Home in Junction City. Remembrances to Junction City First Baptist Church building fund.
